Karen LaFontaine American Painter In Oil

Artist, Karen LaFontaine creates colorful, nature inspired oil paintings that captivate the imagination. Choosing to paint scenes that evoke memories of special places or subjects, Karen presents viewers with beautifully inspired landscapes, flowers, animals and seascapes. Each heartfelt scene is carefully created to celebrate the beauty we find all around us, simply through observation. Her treatment of our natural world, its light and colors, presents art lovers, art collectors, and friends with a visual experience that will brighten your heart and your home.

Karen received her formal training in the visual arts, studying in Boston, at the world-class School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Karen currently resides in Lawrenceville, Georgia where she is active in the local arts community. She presents her original oil paintings for viewing in professional, juried exhibitions. Karen’s oil paintings have been exhibited at the Johns Creek Arts Center, the Hudgens Center for Art & Learning and the Cumming First United Methodist Church Festival of the Arts.

Karen is Author of Artist’s Journal, On The Easel and Founder of Karen LaFontaine Fine Art.
