Morning Greets Us, Amelia Island

Twice Exhibited Painting Comes Home

In 2019, my oil painting Morning Greet Us, Amelia Island became “a favorite” very quickly amongst art lovers and friends in our local arts community. I say quickly for I began painting this beautifully colored landscape in March and completed it in May. By August, this original oil painting was on exhibit at the Johns Creek Arts Center in their esteemed annual juried exhibition, Summer Serendipity.

After a successful summer exhibition, Morning Greets Us, Amelia Island came home. It turned out to be a short stay! For in November this painting was again on exhibit! It was viewed by many more art lovers at The Hudgens Center for Arts and Learning in their 9th Annual Juried Members Exhibition. This was an incredibly exciting exhibition for me because over many years, I have met many friends who have become my creative family through The Hudgens.

This year, at the end of January, Morning Greets Us, Amelia Island came home once again after enjoying almost five months on exhibition. What an exciting whirlwind of a time! This special painting now quietly graces the wall of my living room and greets my family everyday.

Today, the opportunity to enjoy the soft colors of daybreak and the reflection of light and shadow playing across the water continues for my fellow art lovers, art collectors and friends.

I invite you to enjoy this very unique canvas by visiting my online gallery and purchasing your fine art giclée today! And, very soon, this heartfelt scene can be on display in your home too!

Thank you for visiting with me. I love sharing the story of this extraordinary painting in my Artist’s Journal, On The Easel, with you! (Article Image is “detail” from Morning Greet Us, Amelia Island, 16 x 20 inches, oil on canvas).

Be well, Karen LaFontaine
